Hi there! I’m luinova.

I believe Art should be accessible to everyone, even in a city where I see people avoiding their surroundings by looking at phones and away from the unsightly. I like to think that Art found me at a young age and since then I have loved Art and enjoyed the creative process. I do not think I have a signature style but I do love experimenting, more specifically with color as I love to try different permutations of the same idea/object with different colors.

I decided to make my art public mainly for a few reasons. I want to provide a different aesthetic or experience to the art that I see around me; a different idea of what street art can be. Being a docent at SFMOMA for little kids I realized that some of them do not have the resources to attend museums nor experience art and therefore they have a specific idea of what Art is; very renaissance. Finally, I wish for San Francisco to have more Art character. I want San Francisco to be more like New York!

One day I started painting the most notorious object at the time on a small canvas. Unable to decide what color background I wanted I started painting the same object with several different color backgrounds. I started by putting up a few canvases in different neighborhoods, but they came down fast! In order to make my art last longer and produce the same concept quicker, I decided to get my large sketchbook out, purchsed a printer, found a wheat paste recipe online and went out to wheat paste. As a result, by now you probably have seen the notorious Pop Art Toilet Paper around San Francisco.

I’m having a blast sharing my creations (good and bad) and I hope you enjoy!
